AfDB – Plea To The New Leadership!

Really forget about these grand pronouncements that will not see the light of day!

We are running out of time as Africa.

We know what needs to be done – the solution is there, ESFD is there – AfDB is the only pillar-assessed…was pillar assessed 18mths back…

…almost 3yrs and there has been zero engagement from the AfDB side.

Let us focus on actionables as Africa!

The chance is now – first priority for the new leadership is to engage the EU and Firms sourcing capital for new projects!! It is fiendishly difficult, we live and breathe this space – just completed a last mile capital raise for a uranium project listed on the TSX…there is not capital out there!

I had a physical meeting with the EU about this a couple of weeks back!!

Copper (and especially African Copper) is at a precarious point for both Africa and the world.

Re: chinese

They know that they need Copper for further industrialise and do the Transition (renewables for them is a national security issue).

They can see the issues with even trying to secure Chemaf and Xanadu.

This will force them to look at pre-MRE tenements

A matter of time before they unleash a Kobold-equivalent (it is a matter of WHEN not IF)

1. Africa – they will gobble up all tenements and Africa wont have much say in how they are developed (see Cobalt or Indonesian nickel)

2. Global – China will sit to the left of the cost curve (African geology) and will make sure that SAmerican ore is never developed (total stranglehold on the globe) – as I have said “Russia/Ukraine – Europe gas debacle will look like an amuse bouche”

Copper is STRATEGIC – you dont have it, you will be deindustrialised as the Global North, then how do you play it as the Global South with the deposits – going to be key!
